Hurst Park Dental Practice Fee Scale
We believe that fear of the unknown is a great deterrent to patients wishing to seek dentistry outside the NHS system. Therefore, we aim to be very open with regard to our fee structure, also providing patients with detailed plans and options so that they may make informed decisions as to the best treatment to meet their individual needs.
To encourage new patients we provide an initial consultation service at a reduced fee rate. This consists of examination, any necessary radiographs and a printed treatment plan at a fee of £85 for a 30 minute appointment
We offer a free initial consultation and treatment plan for those patients interested in Dental Implants.
Our fee structure operates on an hourly rate basis where patient's charges are calculated on the length of appointments. We also treat patients within The Denplan Capitation Scheme. Similarly we are happy to treat patients with their own dental insurance plans.
The fees shown below are intended as a guide. Individual detailed quotations will be provided as required and always upon request.

What is a capitation scheme such as Denplan?
Denpaln is a private capitation scheme, which for the payment of a fixed monthly fee helps you budget for regular preventive dental care without the fear of costly and unexpected bills.
How does Denplan Cover work ? The scheme is a contract between you and your dentist. Denplan administrate this by collecting your subscription, a small part of this is used to pay for insurance cover provided by Denplan and the remainder paid to the practice. This means that your dentist can concentrate on the continuing needs of your dental health, rather than the actual amount of treatment you may need at any one time. The key advantage being that time can be spent on quality preventive care.
How is the level of my subscription calculated ? You are scored in relation to the number of fillings, root fillings, crowns and dentures you may have. The condition of your gums, the supporting structures of the dentition and your oral hygiene also attract a score. The total score will place you in one of five bands with a corresponding subscription rate.
What is covered as a Denplan Cover patient ? All routine examinations, radiographs and preventive treatment. Scaling and polishing, treatment of more complex gum conditions and all visits to the Hygienist. All fillings and root fillings, extractions, emergency treatment and treatment following an injury.
The provision of crowns, bridges and dentures are covered but the patient will have to meet the technician's charges.
What is not covered ? The laboratory fees where a technician is used. Implants, Orthodontics and treatment of a purely cosmetic nature. The first £15 of the charges for out of hours emergencies or emergencies when you are away from home.
